How To Tie An Improved Clinch Knot

The Improved Clinch Knot is a probably the most used fishing knot when using monofilament line. It is quick and easy to tie and reliable. It can be difficult to tie in lines testing greater than 25 pounds breaking strength. Do not use this knot with braided line as you will lose every fish. One of the advantages of this knot is that the knot retains a lot of the strength of the line but once put under load it will bind and cannot be untied.
