Yes you can even make fire from ice! To do this you will need a nice chunk of ice about 6 inches long (15 cm)by about 3 inches thick (7.5 cm). You have to take this ice chunk and shape it either by melting or chipping, into a lens. Then it is a simple matter to use it to start the fire just as you would if you were starting a fire with a magnifying glass.
A piece of clear plastic or a clear plastic water bottle can also be used after filling it with water.
