Radish are a commonly grown agriculture crop. The root is what most people think of when they hear the word radish. The root of the plant is not only a food but also has some medicinal effects. The effects are not on the same level as antibiotics, etc., but the use is certainly a help and regular consumption is akin to vitamins and supplements. And we all know an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.
Radish can be used for stomach and intestinal disorders, liver problems, bile duct problems, gallstones, loss of appetite. Radishes can even help with bronchitis, fever, colds, and cough. It is also used for reducing high cholesterol. Of course all vegetables sort of help here, but radishes a bit more than by just displacing high cholesterol foods.
The Radishes root stimulates digestive juices and bile flow. Radish root contains chemicals which might kill cancer cells and reduce levels of cholesterol and sugar in the blood. Cancer loves a sugar rich environment. Reducing sugar in the blood helps to starve the cancer.
You will not reduce your blood sugar levels to zero, but it still helps. Think of this analogy. Watering a plant allows it to grow. Watering a plant with a solution that contains high nitrogen fertilizer stimulates the plant to grow extra vigorously. So think of radishes as a means to help reduce the cancer feeding fertilizer in your blood.
